HB 3 Caption: Relating to declaring a State policy in the construction and maintenance of a State system of highway; declaring that such system of highways shall be developed from an independent revenue exclusive to the State adequate to traffic needs.

HB 234 Caption: Relating to amending the law creating the State Highway Department by amending the sections which relate to the collection and expenditure of license fees for road purposes.
HB 257 Caption: Relating to amending certain laws relating to reports by owners of oil wells so as to provide a tax on said owners.
HB 258 Caption: Relating to amending certain laws providing that each and every individual, company, corporation or association doing an express business by railroad, water, interurban or other common carrier in this State, shall, on the first days of certain months of each year, make a report to the Comptroller of Public Accounts under oath, showing the amount of gross receipts from charges and freight within this State collected, or uncollected and requiring the payment of an occupation tax.
HB 259 Caption: Relating to requiring the payment of an occupation tax by every person, firm, co-partnership, etc. manufacturing, selling or distributing non-intoxicating beverages in this State and for quarterly reports to be made to the Comptroller of Public Accounts on the first days of January, April, July and October of each year; providing penalty for failure to make reports and pay the tax imposed.
HB 260 Caption: Relating to levying an annual occupation tax of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars upon all persons, firms, associations or corporations selling soft drinks; providing that counties, incorporated cities or towns in which said sales are made may each levy and collect an annual tax not exceeding twelve and one-half ($12.50) dollars per annum from such parties; defining soft drinks and providing a penalty for the violation of the provisions of this Act.
HB 417 Caption: Relating the prevention of theft of motor vehicles; providing that it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to have in possession or sell offer to sell, or to use upon public highways, any motor vehicle from which the engine number has been removed or obliterated, and that such person or persons shall make applications to the Highway Commission for an engine number which shall be stamped on the engine of such motor vehicle.
HB 444 Caption: Relating to effectuating certain purposes of Section 59 of Article 16 of the Constitution; authorizing a state policy of conservation of natural resources; providing for the creation of a conservation commission, merging the State Board of Water Engineers in such commission, and making all laws now administered and making all laws now being administered by the Department of the Board of Water Engineers cumulative of this act, and to be administered by the conservation commission.
HB 466 Caption: Relating to amending certain statute so as to provide for the selection of a depository for the funds of levee improvement districts.
HB 471 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Board of Regents of the University of Texas to issue and sell bonds in the name of the University of Texas, and to obligate the Board of Regents for and in behalf of the University of Texas to pay such bonds; providing for the payment of interest on such bonds and creating a sinking fund to redeem them at maturity out of the annual rentals and interest and other income of the lands and bonds constituting the permanent fund of the University of Texas, declared to be a trust fund for those purposes.
HB 495 Caption: Relating to providing an adequate method of regulating the practice of civil engineering and surveying in the State; defining civil engineering and surveying; creating a Board of Engineering Examiners and prescribing its powers, duties and compensation.
HB 580 Caption: Relating to amending certain statutes relating to injunctions concerning drilling operations by providing in substance that no injunction, or temporary restraining order, shall be issued by any judge of this State prohibiting any sub-surface drilling or mining operations on the application of any adjacent land owner, claiming injury to his surface or improvements, or loss of, or injury to, the minerals thereunder, unless the person, corporation or partnership, against whom such drilling or mining operation is alleged as a wrongful act, is shown to be unable to respond in damages for any injury that may result from such drilling or mining operations.
HB 584 Caption: Relating to preventing the introduction into and dissemination within this State of insect pests and diseases injurious to plants and plant products of this State, and prescribing the powers and duties of the Commissioner of Agriculture, and making an appropriation for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of said Act.
