HB 452 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts so as to provide for a Purchasing Agent in counties having a population of one hundred thousand (100,000) or more inhabitants according to the last preceding Federal census; providing that the salary of the purchasing agent shall be set at a figure not less than Thirty-six Hundred Dollars ($3600.00), nor more than Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00) per year and providing that this salary shall be paid out of the General Fund and/or the Road and Bridge Fund; providing for a repealing clause.

HB 85 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Commissioners Court of Gaines County, Texas, to issue the Road and Bridge refunding bonds of said County, bearing interest at a rate of not exceeding three and one half per centum (3-1/2%) per annum from date for the purpose of refunding all outstanding interest-bearing coupon time warrants of said County outstanding and unpaid as of January 1, 1951, and describing the method of issuing such bonds.
HB 142 Caption: Relating to prescribing the liability of owners of dogs; authorizing persons bitten or injured by dogs to recover damages from the owner or owners thereof under certain circumstances; making it unlawful to own, harbor or have in custody any dog that bites, injures or attacks a person lawfully upon the property of the scene of the injury.
HB 318 Caption: Relating to amending the Code of Criminal Procedure of Texas, providing for summoning veniremen in a capital case.
HB 327 Caption: Relating to providing that all counties within this State may upon an order made by its Commissioners' Court for this purpose provide and maintain a County Law Library; and that such Library may upon an order made by said Commissioners' Court be maintained and supported by a trial fee to be assessed and collected in all cases filed in the County and District Courts of said Counties, said fee not to exceed the sum of One ($1.00) Dollar for each case filed.
HB 348 Caption: Relating to authorizing the appointment of two (2) investigators or assistants and the employment of one (1) stenographer for the district attorney of the 106th Judicial District; prescribing qualifications of the investigators or assistants; providing for compensation and expenses of the investigators or assistants; prescribing their duties.
HB 349 Caption: Relating to exempting property in certain counties from taxation belonging to organizations, clubs, associations or corporations which are federations of women's clubs in Texas, and which organizations, clubs, associations or corporations serve civic, literary and educational ends and purposes only, and the property and money of which does not and will not inure, by succession or otherwise, to the benefit of any private member or individual.
HB 403 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code so as to properly define the offense of making, drawing, or uttering or delivering with intent to defraud any check, draft or order for the payment of money, upon any bank, person, firm or corporation, knowing at the time thereof, that the maker or drawer has not sufficient funds in, or on deposit with such bank, person, firm or corporation for the payment of such check, draft or order, in full, and all other checks, drafts or orders upon said funds then outstanding; making it an offense for any person who has instigated criminal prosecution under this Act to request or suggest the dismissal of same; providing penalties.
HB 410 Caption: Relating to validating certain sales and conveyances, or attempted sales and conveyances, of county lands, and interests in county lands, under certain conditions therein described; provided more than three years have elapsed since the date of such sale or attempted sale; and providing that this Act shall not apply to any sale or conveyance the validity of which is involved in any litigation pending at the time this act becomes effective.
HB 589 Caption: Relating to creating a Court of Domestic Relations for Lubbock County, Texas, and prescribing the jurisdiction and powers thereof.
HB 590 Caption: Relating to amending the Penal Code relating to unlawfully carrying arms so as to provide that any person who shall carry on or about his person, saddle or in his saddle bags or in his portfolio or purse any device for the purposes of offense or defense shall be punished by a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500) or by confinement in jail for not less than (1) month nor more than one (1) year.
