Authorizing the Commissioners' Court of any county which is a member of a regional planning commission whose planning area encompasses at least one county wherein there is a population of 1.5 million or more to promulgate and enforce uniform building codes throughout the unincorporated areas of the county, defining structures and exceptions thereto; permitting the county to establish an office for building permits, to contract such work, and to charge fees; establishing a Board of Building Appeals and procedures related thereto; authorizing the county to enjoin any violation of this Act; establishing a criminal penalty of a fine not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) for any violation of any regulation passed by the Commissioners' Court pursuant to this Act; providing for severability.
