SB 9, 56th 2nd C.S.
Relating to affirming and protecting the right of the public use of certain state-owned beaches or such larger area extending from the line of mean low tide to the line of vegetation, in the event the public has acquired a right of use or easement to or over such area by prescription, dedication, or has retained a right by virtue of a continuous right in the public bordering on the seaward shore of the Gulf of Mexico.

According to a July 10, 1982 article in the Corpus Christi Caller Times, "Panel discusses problems surrounding beaches," this committee was a recent revival of an inactive committee originally created in the 1950s, most likely by SB 9, 56th 2nd C.S. or SB 279, 57th R.S.
