HB 513, 57th R.S.
Relating to securing identifying marks of ownership of dogs and to protect owners of dogs against their theft defining the misdemeanor offense of theft of a dog, prescribing a penalty for such offense; providing that a theft of a dog which bears a reasonably discernible identifying tattoo or mark of ownership which has been duly registered as provided by law, shall be a felony, and prescribing penalties for such offense; and providing that whoever shall remove, deface, obscure or obliterate any tattoo or identifying mark upon any dog or upon any collar or other thing worn by a dog shall upon conviction thereof be guilty of a misdemeanor, and providing a penalty for such offense.
