HB 767, 43rd R.S.
Relating to providing that any person, or any agent, employee, or representative of any person, firm, or corporation operating any oil well, or wells, in any oil field, or pool, in the State of Texas, where the production of oil from the same is prorated or apportioned among the producing wells therein, or is adjusted to prevent waste in accordance with any rule, regulation or order of the Railroad Commission of Texas, entered pursuant to the provisions of Title 102, or any law of Texas, who shall knowingly permit any well, or wells, to produce more oil than is authorized by such rule, regulation, or order by said Commission, shall be deemed guilty of a felony, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by confinement in the State penitentiary for not less than one year nor more than five years.
