Relating to prevention, care and treatment of chronic kidney disease; making certain findings concerning chronic kidney disease; recognizing its impact upon the citizens of Texas and declaring policy in regard thereto; creating a Division of Kidney Health Care within the State Department of Health and providing for its administration and organization; delegating power and authority to the State Board of Health to deal with all phases of chronic kidney disease problems; prescribing certain duties of the state treasurer and state auditor with reference to funds available for carrying out the Act; providing for repayment of certain treatment costs; providing for severability; providing a repealing clause.
