|• To study personnel policies for state employees, focusing on grievance procedures, career mobility, allocation and use of merit raises, accuracy of job descriptions, and the use of four-day work week in client or service-oriented agencies.|
|• To study the effects of implementing dues deductions for public employees.|
|• To study the existence and enforcement of safety regulations in construction and oil field industries.|
|• To study employment issues relating to farmworkers, focusing on labor-management relations between farmers and farmworkers with and without collective bargaining.|
|• To monitor the unemployment compensation fund, studying patterns of benefit usage and tax revenues.|
|• To study the possible causes and remedies for unemployment, including a review of the Job Training Partnership Act, work-sharing programs, and health insurance benefits for the unemployed.|
