  • Biographical sketch, L.C. Fisher, pp. 24-25. Born in Lowndes County, Alabama, came to Walker County, Texas in 1854, remained there until 1867 when he moved to Galveston. Mayor of Galveston 1881-1883. Personnel of the Texas State Government for 1885, 19th Legislature, 1885.
