Obituary, "Judge L.S. Lawhon Fell Dead: He Was a Widely Known Lawyer of Southwest Texas," The Houston Daily Post, 8/15/1902. "Judge L.S. Lawson, the oldest member of the Floresville bar . . . moved to Floresville about 1884 and has since resided here, practicing his profession. He was a member of the Thirteenth legislature in the lower house and in 1892 and 1894 was elected as State senator from this district . . . " Death date 8/13/1902.
