  • United States Army, 2nd Lieutenant; United States Army Reserve, Captain. "After a year he joined the Army and served for four years in the U.S. and Europe, being released from active duty as a first lieutenant during the Summer 1957. He was discharged as a captain in the Artillery, USAR, on June 10, 1968.
