Caption: Providing a method and nomenclature whereby particular district courts to be designated in said Act shall have conferred upon them or be specially vested with all or only a specified part of the original and appellate civil and criminal jurisdiction of county courts and county courts at law and the presiding judges thereof shall exercise such jurisdiction in cases pending in such district courts in the same manner as that provided for causes in district courts generally--except, however, that causes over which county courts or county courts at law would otherwise have exclusive original or appellate jurisdiction or jurisdiction concurrent with that of district courts under the constitution and the general laws of this state shall be tried unless a jury is waived, before petit juries having only six members to be selected and empaneled and to return their verdicts as in county courts and except that in such causes writs or error and certiorari may be had and appeals taken to and from such district courts only as provide for county courts; providing similarly a method and nomenclature whereby amendment of the jurisdiction of the county court of a named county but not of a county court at law may be diminished in whole or in part when by such amendment a district court has had vested in it such county all or only some specified part of the jurisdiction of county courts and county courts at law; and providing similarly a method and nomenclature whereby such a district court may be directed by amendment to exercise such jurisdiction concurrently with the county court or a county court at law of such county county by having the judges of the district court and of the county court or county courts at law transfer cases between their courts, exchange benches, and otherwise arrange for an efficient conduct of the judicial business of such courts in the same way as provided or permitted for judges of district courts; and then creating the 211th Judicial District, composed of the County of Dention, to provide for such creation and to provide, further, that in accordance with the general methods and nomenclature prescribed in the preceding amendment the 211th District Court also has the jurisdiction of county courts and county courts at law and shall exercise such jurisdiction concurrently with the County Court of Denton County and the County Court at Law of Denton County; providing for severability; repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict.
