SB 28 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts providing for and authorizing the State Highway Department of the State of Texas to grant permits limited to ninety (90) days, or less, for the transportation over state highways of the State of Texas and county roads of the State, bulk cement to be used in cementing oil well casings and gas well casings and in cementing oil wells and gas wells, etc.; repealing all laws in conflict herewith; providing a saving clause.

SB 97 Caption: Relating to amending certain Acts by fixing the powers and duties of the State Board of Embalming so as to prescribe and maintain a standard of proficiency as to the qualifications of those engaged and who may engage in the practice of funeral directing in connection with the care and disposition of dead human bodies by providing that said State Board of Embalming shall adopt rules, regulations, and by-laws for the examination and licensing of funeral directors and the practice of funeral direction.

SB 462 Caption: Relating to granting permission to Mount Olivet Cemetery Company, a private corporation chartered under the laws of this State, and to bring and prosecute suit against the State of Texas in any court of competent jurisdiction in Tarrant County, Texas, to ascertain the amount, if any, due the Mount Olivet Cemetery Company for damages alleged to have been sustained by reason of the construction and maintenance of the State Highway and the overpass on said State Highway which runs in a general easterly and westerly direction on the north side of the cemetery belonging to and operated by the Mount Olivet Cemetery Company in Tarrant County, Texas, said Highway being known as State Highway No. 15, and providing that said suit shall be tried according to the rules of law and equity and procedure as would be applicable if the suit were one by and between citizens of the State of Texas or by and between private corporations.

SB 169 Caption: Relating to creating the office of County Purchasing Agent in all counties in this State having a population of more than 140,000 inhabitants and less than 290,000 in habitants.
SB 170 Caption: Relating to creating a lien upon the recovery to guarantee to an attorney at law the payment of his fees in cases prosecuted on a contingent basis; authorizing contracts by attorneys for not to exceed fifty (50%) per cent of recovery for services rendered or to be rendered.
SB 205 Caption: Relating to insurance and making it unlawful to engage in the insurance business in Texas unless authorized by law.

SB 419 Caption: Relating to conferring additional powers on school districts having a relatively large percentage of delinquent taxes, including power to borrow money and issue obligations secured by such taxes and to make supplementary pledges of taxes hereafter becoming delinquent to secure the release of funds pledged for such obligations.
