HB 141 Caption: Relating to amending Statutes so as to make eligible any citizen of this State and of the United States, who has attained the age of 28 years, to take the State bar examination, provided he meets certain educational and moral requirements and is certified by a county examining committee; providing for the creation of such county examining committee, prescribing its membership, qualifications, terms of appointment and duties.
HB 541 Caption: Relating to providing for the sale by the State to the City of Port Arthur, Texas, a municipal corporation, and its assigns, a certain tract or area of land situated in Jefferson County, Texas, same being riparian lands constituting a part of the former bed of Sabine Lake, retaining to the State the minerals, sand, gravel and shell in the land.
HB 583 Caption: Relating to constituting a local road law for the maintenance of a bridge constituting a portion of a public road in Jefferson County by authorizing the County to construct, improve, operate and maintain a bridge, and properties in connection therewith over the river or lake between said County and Cameron Parish, Louisiana, from a point in Jefferson County to a point where such project will meet a bridge or causeway constructed or to be constructed from the Cameron Parish side of such body of water toward the Jefferson County side.

HB 95 Caption: Relating to validating, ratifying, approving, and confirming certain proceedings and bonds heretofore voted by incorporated cities or towns.
HB 841 Caption: Relating to authorizing school districts to invest proceeds from sale of school district bonds in bonds or other obligations of the United States of America until needed for purposes for which school district bonds were originally authorized.
HB 891 Caption: Relating to making available to the Lamar State College of Technology the funds available in a special State Treasury Account and make such appropriation to the Board of Regents of said College to be expended for the construction of buildings on the campus of said School pursuant to the General Laws of this State.
HCR 24 Caption: Proposing that the Statute of Limitations shall not apply in the certain case of R. E. Cowan.
HJR 7 Caption: Proposing a constitutional amendment providing that Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) of the assessed taxable value of all residence homesteads as now defined by law shall be exempt from all taxation for all State, county, city, school district or other political subdivisions of the State of Texas that are owned by persons sixty-five (65) years of age or over.

HB 92 Caption: Relating to the Code of Criminal Procedure of the State of Texas; providing for the establishment of a Criminal Judicial District of Jefferson County, Texas; providing for the election, tenure of office and prescribing the qualifications, powers, duties, compensation, and expense of said office; providing for the appointment of assistants, investigators clerk, and stenographers by the Criminal District Attorney of Jefferson County; providing for their compensation, prescribing their powers and duties; providing that, if any part of this Act be held invalid, the remainder shall be valid; repealing all laws in conflict herewith.
HB 127 Caption: Relating to providing the creation, regulation and financing of Mosquito Control Districts in certain counties; providing that this Act shall be severable.
HB 297 Caption: Relating to exempt motor vehicles, trailers and semitrailers, owned and used exclusively in the service of any political subdivision of a county of the State of Texas from the payment of license or registration fees to the State of Texas.
HB 369 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for the compensation of all County Treasurers in all counties having a population of not less than one hundred forty-five thousand (145,000) inhabitants and not more than three hundred thousand (300,000) inhabitants according to the last preceding Federal Census.
HB 561 Caption: Relating to preserving the faith and credit of the State and its agency the City of Port Arthur, Texas, to which State General Ad Valorem taxes have been donated or granted; enacting other matters related to the subject.
HB 969 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for the establishment of a Juvenile Board in counties containing a population of not less than one hundred and ninety thousand (190,000) inhabitants, nor more than two hundred and twenty-four thousand (224,000) inhabitants, according to the last preceding or any future Federal Census, general or special; providing a repealing clause; providing a saving clause.

HB 13 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, to provide an appropriation covering administration and special services for special education for exceptional children for the biennium ending August 31, 1949.
HB 118 Caption: Relating to amending the Texas Liquor Control Act, by making it unlawful to employ anyone to sell liquor who is under the age of twenty-one (21) years and making it unlawful for any person to sell any liquor to any person under twenty-one (21) years of age or to any person who is intoxicated or to any habitual drunkard or to any insane person, making it the primary responsibility of the person making any such sale to establish by competent evidence that such person buying said liquor is not a person under the age of twenty-one (21) years of age.
