Appointed by Speaker 3/28/1887, pursuant to resolution by Jones; Garner and Hargis appointed 3/30/1887, in place of Camp and Wright, who declined to serve; Jones listed as Chairman on committee report 4/1/1887 (House Journal, 20th R.S., pp. 831-832, 843, 879, 933-934).
