Charges
- Inquire into the manner in which State funds are expended and the purposes for which State funds are used by any all State departments and institutions; and it shall further be its duty to investigate fully the necessity for making appropriations for the maintenance of each and all of the State departments and institutions, and to that end to inquire into the affairs and activities of governmental departments and institutions of whatever character or kind, as such activities affect or relate to the financial or other welfare of the citizens of Texas.
- Investigate the investment of money from the Permanent School fund in refunding bonds.*
