- Study the provision of health care services by advanced practice nurses, nurse practitioners, emergency medical service personnel or physicians assistants working under standard orders or written protocols without the direct supervision of a doctor. Consider the effect on health care if limits on the use of standing delegation orders were strictly enforced. Make recommendations for legislative action. *
- Make a thorough study of the provision of health care services through the use of protocols and standing orders and of the implications, if any, of Texas Attorney General Opinion H-1295 and of any legal restraints on such use.
