engaged in the actual discharge of their duties while carrying the weapon.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the opinion of the Office of House Bill Analysis that this bill does
not expressly delegate any additional rulemaking authority to a state
officer, department, agency, or institution.

ANALYSIS

House Bill 1926 amends the Penal Code to remove the requirement that
certain judges or justices hold a concealed handgun license and to allow a
judge or justice to carry a weapon in this state regardless of whether the

carrying the weapon.
