SB 270, 61st Regular Session
Relating to providing that in all counties having a population of not more than 100,000 inhabitants, according to the last preceding federal census, every owner of any tract of land situated outside the corporate limits of any city in the State of Texas is prohibited from dividing the same in two or more parts for the purpose of laying out any subdivision of any such tract of land, or an addition outside the corporate limits of any town or city, or for laying out streets, alleys or parks, or other portions intended for public use, or the use of purchasers or owners of lots fronting thereon or adjacent thereto, without first causing a plat to be made thereof and filed for record and be recorded in the office of county clerk of the county in which the land lies, all in compliance with certain Statutes; authorizing the commissioners court to refuse to approve maps and plats which do not meet the prescribed requirements and to enjoin any violation of the provision of this Act.
