Relating to directing the State Auditor to make a complete examination and detailed audit of all books, accounts and other records of business transacted by the General Land Office, School Land Board, and Veteran's Land Board, and of any other department commission, board, or agency, however named, which has been directly or indirectly involved in financial or other transactions or dealings with the General Land Office, since January 1, 1939; directing cooperation and aid of other state departments and offices; granting the State Auditor power to administer oaths to witnesses, subpoena witnesses and records in custody, and to examine, audit, inspect and make copies of books, records or files of public and private agencies or individuals involved in dealings with the General Land Office since January 1, 1939; providing for special reports to be filed on this examination and audit with the Governor and other state officials; providing for prompt disclosure of improper practices, incompetency, or evidence of illegal transactions and for proper action and disposition of such matters; providing for an appropriation for payment of necessary expenses of the State Auditor in making this audit and examination; providing for severability.
