HB 873, 50th R.S.
Relating to finding and declaring that the disastrous explosions and fires at Texas City in Galveston County, Texas, on the morning of April 16, 1947, and during the succeeding several days, is a case of great public calamity in the City of Texas City and in Texas City Independent School District; and providing that for the purpose of aiding and assisting the City of Texas City and Texas City Independent School District, there are granted and donated to the City of Texas City and in Texas City Independent School District equally all State ad valorem taxes for general purposes levied and collected on all property in Galveston County, Texas, for certain years; declaring the Act to be severable.
