SB 1363, 68th R.S.
Creating and establishing a conservation and reclamation district under Article XVI, Section 59, Constitution of Texas, to be known as "Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 233, of Harris County, Texas," and declaring the district a governmental agency and a body corporate and politic; defining the boundaries; finding the field notes and boundaries form a closure; finding benefit to all property within the district; requiring a confirmation election before issuance of bonds; conferring on the district the rights, powers, privileges, authority, and functions of the general laws of Texas applicable to municipal utility districts created under Chapter 54, Title 4, Water Code, where not in conflict with this Act, and adopting same by reference; providing for appointment of the first directors of the district and for qualifications of directors and the filling of vacancies; providing for terms and elections of directors; finding and declaring that the requirements of Article XVI, Section 59(d) and Section 59(e), Constitution of Texas, have been performed and accomplished; requiring compliance with certain provisions of ordinances or resolutions of the Houston City Council; enacting other provisions relating to the above subjects; providing a severability clause; and declaring an emergency.
