SJR 14, 58th R.S.
Relating to proposing a constitutional amendment providing that if the State ad valorem taxes levied for school and school free textbook purposes, for the payment of pensions to the widows of Confederate Veterans and eligible Texas Rangers and their widows and to pay the principal and interest on notes and bonds issued are no longer levied the Legislature of Texas shall authorize the issuance of Seventy-five Million Dollars ($75,000,000) in general obligation bonds of the State of Texas to be called College Building Bonds; providing that the maximum interest rate on the bonds shall be Four Per Cent (4%); providing that the terms of the bonds shall not exceed ten (10) years; providing that the Legislature shall prescribe the terms of the bonds and the proportions of each eligible institution's share in the proceeds.
