Providing for a joint committee composed of seven members of the senate and seven members of the house to be appointed by the presiding officer of the respective houses to arrange for the canvas of the votes cast for governor and lieutenant governor at the general election held on the first Tuesday in November, 1974, and that a joint session of the senate and house be held in the hall of the house of representatives at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 1975, for the purpose of counting said votes and receiving the report and hearing the declaration of the results of the canvas; providing for a joint committee composed of seven members of the senate and seven members of the house of representatives to also be appointed by the presiding officer of the respective houses to arrange for the inaugeration of the governor-elect and the lieutenant governor-elect as determined by the canvass of the votes; providing for expenses incurred by the committee arranging for the inauguration of the governor-elect and lieutenant governor-elect to be paid out of the expense fund of the 64th Legislature upon authority of the chairman of said joint committee with approval of the respective chairmen of the Administration Committee of the Senate and the Administration Committee of the House of Representatives; instructing the State Board of Control to close all entrances to the capitol grounds on Tuesday, January 21, 1975, at 15th Street and North Congress Avenue, 14th Street at Colorado, San Jacinto, and Brazos Streets, and all other entrances to the capitol area on Congress Avenue, San Jacinto, and Colorado Streets except for those vehicles approed by the inaugural committee as necessary for use in connection with the ceremony and the program following; providing for state visitor parking lots numbers one and two to be closed to all parking except those vehicles approved by the inaugural committee.
