Relating to regulating the business of transporting persons for hire or for compensation over the public roads, highways or bridges of the State of Texas, whether as a common carrier, contract or charter carrier; requiring an examination of the public records in order to ascertain if the owner, chauffeur, driver or operator of the motor vehicle has properly complied with the laws of this State; and making the violation of this Act a misdemeanor.
