SB 235, 64th R.S.
Providing for the creation of a hospital district under Article IX, Section 9, Constitution of Texas, encompassing all territory in Parmer County, Texas, which is situated in the Farwell Independent School District; making provision for such district to provide fro the purchase, construction, acquisition, repair, or renovation of buildings and improvements and equipping the same for hospital district purposes; prescribing procedure for an election on the creation of such district and levy of taxes for its maintenance, support, and payment of indebtedness; providing the powers and duties of the district and its governing body and its procedures in the governing, administration, operation, and financing of the hospital system; providing procedures for the issuance of bonds and for their security; providing the characteristics and terms of such bonds and their eligibility for investments and security for deposits of public funds; providing a choice of methods for assessment, equalization, and collection of taxes; enacting other provisions incident to and related to the subject and purposes.
