SB 544, 43rd R.S.
Relating to providing that in all counties containing a city, other than the county seat, in excess of 7,000 inhabitants according to the 1930 decennial census, the tax collector, with the consent and approval of the commissioners court of said county may appoint a deputy tax collector in such town or city, who shall have the right to issue valid receipts for all taxes collected by him and to collect a fee of twenty-five cents from each person who pays his taxes to said deputy and to whom said deputy issues a receipt.
