38th Regular Session
HB 91 Caption: Relating to defining, regulating and controlling fraternal benefit societies so as to provide that where a member of such a society fails to designate a beneficiary or the beneficiary designated is dead or has no insurable interest in the life of the member, the death benefits shall not be forfeited, but shall be paid to the persons named in said section in the order therein named.
HB 116 Caption: Relating to amending an Act fixing the compensation of county commissioners in all counties subject to the provisions of the General Laws of the First Called Session of the Thirty-seventh Legislature.
HB 249 Caption: Relating to defining the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, and regulating the practice therein.
HB 269 Caption: Relating to providing that any hotel or boarding house or other place to which the people resort for board or lodging, and which place repeatedly permit employees or guests to make, sell or give away intoxicating liquors to excess, or permits gambling or prostitution, shall be declared a nuisance to be abated by the court.
HB 270 Caption: Relating to providing for the making and preservation of reports and records of all intoxicating liquors and personal property used for the purpose of violating the intoxicating liquor laws, seized by officers.
HB 327 Caption: Relating to consolidating certain boards, commissions and departments; abolishing the Industrial Accident Board and the State Fire Insurance Commission, and conferring their duties and functions upon the Commissioner of Insurance and Banking.
HB 335 Caption: Relating to incorporating Gregg County in the Seventy-first Judicial District and fixing the time of holding court in each of the several counties of said two districts and providing for the proper administration of said courts.
HB 355 Caption: Relating to amending the Code of Criminal Procedure of the State of Texas in order to allow persons charges as principals, accomplices and accessories, whether they be charged as such in the same indictment or information or different indictments or information, to be introduced as witnesses for one another, but not preventing any person so charged from claiming a severance.
HB 356 Caption: Relating to providing that insurance companies contracting to pay under the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Act shall file with the Commissioner of Insurance its classification of premiums, which shall not take effect until the Commissioner of Insurance has approved same as adequate to the risk to which they apply, and which shall not be greater than the rates charged by the Texas Employers Insurance Association.

HB 20 Caption: Relating to providing that certain places to which people resort for board or lodging or commonly congregate for business or pleasure, and which place repeatedly permits employees or guests to make, sell or give away intoxicating liquor, or permits parties to drink intoxicating liquors to excess, or permits gambling or prostitution, shall be declared a nuisance to be abated by the courts
HB 137 Caption: Relating to creating the Gladwater County Line Independent School District in Gregg and Upshur counties, Texas; defining its boundaries; providing for a board of trustees of said district.

HB 117 Caption: Relating to prohibiting the sale and transportation for the purpose of sale of fresh water crappie and bass during the months of February, March and April of each year; making it a misdemeanor to violate the terms of this Act, prescribing the punishment for a violation of its terms.
