HB 19 Caption: Relating to providing that all persons, firms, partnerships, or corporations using coupons, chips, scrip, punchouts, store orders, or other evidence of indebtedness to pay their or its laborers and employees, for labor or otherwise, shall, if demanded, redeem the same in the hands of such laborer, employee, or bona fide holder in good and lawful money of the United States; providing penalties for failure to redeem.
HB 20 Caption: Relating to the setting, trial and appeal of all personal injury cases.
HB 21 Caption: Relating to regulating the hours of service of the drivers of motor vehicles being operated by motorbus companies transporting passengers for hire and motor carriers transporting property for hire over the highways of this State; providing and defining the violations which constitute separate offenses; providing that the violations of the provisions of this Act shall constitute a misdemeanor; and providing a minimum fine of Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars and a maximum fine of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars.

Smith, for himself, and as next friend of Carl Smith, minor, of Chambers County, Texas, consent of the Legislature to file and prosecute a suit against the State of Texas and/or the State Highway Commission in a Court of competent jurisdiction in order to determine what compensation, if any, he, the said W.N. Smith, as father of said Carl Smith, is entitled to receive by reason of injury sustained by said Carl Smith, minor, while an employee of the State Highway Commission.
HB 360 Caption: Relating to giving Mrs. James Steel, a feme sole, consent of the Legislature to file and prosecute a suit against the State of Texas and/or the State Highway Commission in a Court of competent jurisdiction, in order to determine what compensation, if any, she, the said Mrs. James Steel, is entitled to receive by reason of damage done to her sixty (60) acre farm by the Highway Department of the State of Texas in digging a certain large ditch or canal across same without first securing an easement therefor, or digging same in a place and in a manner contrary to that provided for in condemnation proceedings, and providing that the State of Texas and/or said Highway Commission may appeal from said judgment as provided by law without executing any bond, and upon final judgment being recovered against the State and/or Highway Commission, the same shall be paid out of the State Highway funds, and providing that service in said cause shall be had by citing the chairman of the Highway Commission and the Attorney General.
HB 436 Caption: Relating to providing a method by which the County Judge having jurisdiction may either in term time or in vacation make a determination that a person, theretofore judicially declared to be of unsound mind, has been restored to his or her right mind.
HB 437 Caption: Relating to providing that any person, firm, corporation or association of persons who shall sell a motor vehicle which has been driven or towed from the assembly plant to the place of business of such dealer shall disclose such fact to the purchaser of such vehicle; providing a penalty for the violation of the provisions of this Act.
HB 750 Caption: Relating to providing an open season for the killing of wild mourning doves and white wing doves in the North Zone and South Zone; creating a new Zone to be known as the "Gulf Coast Zone" to be cut off of the South Zone and providing an open season for the killing of wild mourning doves and white wing doves in said Zone.
HB 1060 Caption: Relating to amending certain Act aiding the City of Port Arthur, Texas, in constructing and maintaining sea walls, breakwaters and shore protections in order to protect said city from calamitous overflows, by extending the provisions of said Act for a period of ten (10) years.
HB 1141 Caption: Relating to fixing the maximum rate of tax to be levied for school purposes in all independent school districts which include within their limits two (2) counties or portions thereof one of which counties according to the latest Federal Census had a population of not fewer than fifteen thousand one hundred forty (15,140) and not more than fifteen thousand one hundred sixty (15,160) inhabitants, whether organized under General or Special Laws.

HB 144 Caption: Relating to providing that in all suits where land is recovered or retained by virtue of any judgment in such suit, judgment shall be rendered that the person losing title to said premises recover all taxes legally assessed against said property, which have theretofore been paid by him or his grantees.

HB 515 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Section of the General Laws of the 43rd Legislature (2nd C.S.); making it a misdemeanor for any person to operate a passenger car, commercial motor vehicle or truck-tractor on public highways during any month of motor vehicle registration year without having attached to, and displayed thereon two (2) license number plates, one plate at the front and one at the rear, lawfully assigned for said vehicle for that current registration year.

HB 558 Caption: Relating to establishing and maintaining a livestock and poultry agricultural experiment station in the Pineywoods region of Southwest Texas, in one of the following Counties: Liberty, Orange, Hardin, Newton, Jasper, or Tyler, authorizing the Board of Directors of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas to select a suitable location of said station, and empowering said Board of Directors to establish and maintain the same, to accept not less than two hundred (200) acres of land as a donation for said experimental station, and to accept money or anything of value for the establishment and maintenance of said station.

HB 598 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Section of the Acts of the 42nd Legislature; relating to levying a tax on natural gas, so as to change the tax provided for therein from a percentage levy to a specific tax per volume of gas, and by adding another section requiring the installation of meters at the State line to gauge the quantity of gas imported into the State, providing a penalty for failure to install meters.

HB 53 Caption: Relating to amending a certain Statute constituting the several district judge, criminal district judges, criminal district judges and the county judge a juvenile board within certain counties in this State having a population of one hundred thousand and over according to the last preceding Federal census, and allowing the said district judges and criminal district judges an additional salary to be paid out of the general fund of said counties, by amending said statute so as to include counties having more than 70,000 population and less than 100,000, but having two cities of more than 20,000 each according to the last preceding Federal census.

HB 194 Caption: Relating to aiding the City of Port Arthur, Texas, situated in Commissioners' Precinct Number 2 of Jefferson County, Texas, in construction and maintaining sea walls, breakwaters and shore protections in order to protect said city from calamitous overflows, by donating to it eight-ninths (8/9) of Ad Valorem taxes collected on all property, both real and personal, in Commissioners' Precinct Number 2 of Jefferson County, Texas, for a period of twenty years, providing a penalty for misapplication of the monies thus donated.
HB 195 Caption: Relating to providing that all sales of real estate for the collection of delinquent taxes due thereon shall be made only after foreclosure of tax lien securing same in accordance with existing laws governing delinquent tax foreclosure suits.
