HB 52 Caption: Relating to creating Lamar State College of Technology of Beaumont, Texas; providing for work at said College suitable to a College of Technology of the first class; providing for courses of study to be offered; providing for the organization, control and management thereof, the appointment of a Board of Regents and the selection of a president; providing all necessary details to accomplish the purpose of this Act; repealing all laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act; providing a saving clause.
HB 112 Caption: Relating to the County Court of Jefferson County at Law; amending Statutes relating to the terms of said court and the election, tenure, and qualifications of the Judge of said Court; providing a saving clause.
HB 377 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, authorizing any political subdivision of the State of Texas which heretofore has issued and sold bonds and is unable to obtain labor and material to carry out the purposes for which the bonds were issued to invest the proceeds now on hand in government bonds or other obligations of the United States of America.

HB 553 Caption: Relating to authorizing the creation within this State of districts to be known as port and navigation districts including within their boundaries a city containing 75,000 population or more, according to the preceding or any future Federal census, for the purpose of making improvements for navigation, and for the purpose of acquiring the wharf and dock properties, assets and facilities of such city within its boundaries by assuming the outstanding indebtedness of such properties, and for all other purposes stated in Section 59, Article 16, of the Constitution, such districts to be known as port and navigation districts, which may or may not include within their boundaries and limits districts and municipal corporations of any kind, or part thereof, or a portion of existing navigation districts created under Section 52, of Article 3, of the Constitution, which districts shall be governmental agencies and bodies politic and corporate, with such powers of government essential to the accomplishment of such purposes; providing this act shall be cumulative; providing a savings clause.
HB 609 Caption: Relating to authorizing the transfer of properties of union junior college districts after a State-supported senior college has been created within said districts, to such senior college; containing a severability clause.
HB 616 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for the increase of the annual insurance agent's license fee from $1 to $2; providing that this Act shall take effect March 31, 1950.
HB 642 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Board of Regents of The University of Texas to invest in United States Government Bonds, or place on time deposit, not more than eighty-five (85%) of the "General Property Deposit" which is required of all students, income from which investments or time deposit is to be used in making student scholarship awards, and limiting the period for making refunds of such deposits.
HB 771 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing that in all incorporated cities and towns containing more than fifty thousand (50,000) inhabitants according to the last preceding or any future Federal Census, the governing body shall have power to lay out, acquire, and construct any section or portion of any street within its jurisdiction as a freeway under certain circumstances; providing a saving clause; repealing all laws in conflict.

HCR 97 Caption: Suspending the Joint Rules of the Legislature in order to consider the Local and Uncontested Bills Calendar.
HJR 33 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Article III of the Constitution of the State of Texas by repealing Section 49a, which section requires certain statements under oath by the Comptroller of Public Accounts to be submitted to the Governor and the Legislature upon its convening, showing the financial condition of the State Treasury at the close of the last fiscal year, and an estimate of the probable receipts and disbursements for the current fiscal year.
HJR 40 Caption: Proposing an amendment to Article III, Sec. 49a of the Constitution of the State of Texas providing for the certification by the Comptroller of Public Accounts of estimates of available funds in connection with bills appropriating money after said bills have been returned to him by the House in which same originated and for presentation of such bills to the Governor for approval or disapproval.

HB 555 Caption: Relating to authorizing Commissioners of drainage districts to join with any governmental agency, county or political subdivision, any city, town, or railroad company, or any other person, corporation, or association, in constructing and maintaining drainage improvements and to pay their portion of the costs thereof; repealing all laws in conflict only to the extent of the conflict; providing a saving clause.
