SB 22 Caption: Relating to empowering the courts of record of the State of Texas having original jurisdiction of criminal actions to suspend the imposition or execution of sentence and to place defendants on probation under certain conditions; providing for the repeal of all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith; providing that if any part of this Act is declared unconstitutional it shall not affect the validity of the remainder of the Act.
SB 33 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, relating to board of directors of railroad corporations.
SB 34 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, relating to the execution of deeds by corporations by including trust officers in the enumeration of corporate officers authorized to execute conveyances of lands.
SB 63 Caption: Relating to authorizing the Board of Regents of the University of Texas to accept title for an in behalf of the State of Texas for the use and benefit of the University of Texas of any and all lands to be donated as sites needed for the location within the Texas Medical Center at Houston of the M.D. Anderson Hospital for Cancer Research, the Dental College of the University of Texas and other schools.
SB 100 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, relative to the filing and recording of instruments of writing, maps and plats so as to provide the prerequisites for filing, recording and approving maps and plats subdividing or resubdividing real estate.
SB 101 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing for the creation of private corporations for the purpose of operating a general commissary business and to buy, sell, and otherwise deal in goods, wares, merchandise, and equipment incident to such business.
SB 102 Caption: Relating to allowing certain independent school districts the power to levy tax not to exceed $1.50 on the $100 valuation; repeal of all laws and parts of laws, both general and special, only to the extent that they may be in conflict herewith.
SB 103 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, by providing that the discount of four per cent allowed distributors in their purchase of cigarette tax stamps shall be increased to a rate of six percent.
SB 140 Caption: Relating to providing for the establishment, support, maintenance and direction of a University of the first class for the instruction and training of colored people of this state, to be known as "The Texas State University for Negroes", and to be located at Houston, Harris County; and providing for an Agricultural and Mechanical College for colored students to be known as "The Prairie View Agricultural and Mechanical College", as same is now located at Prairie View, Waller County.
SB 141 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing that transfers or deliveries made pursuant to an order of the Federal Securities and Exchange Commission which specifies and itemizes the securities ordered by it to be delivered or transferred and record transfers following such transfers or deliveries shall not be subject to the tax imposed and levied by said Section 1.
SB 168 Caption: Relating to authorizing County Judges and Judges of County Courts-at-Law in counties having two or more County Courts-at-Law to draw jurors when the number of jurors available for service in such courts shall be deemed insufficient by the Judges thereof.
SB 174 Caption: Relating to creating two additional District Courts in Harris County, Texas, to be known as the 128th and 129th District Courts; making an appropriation; repealing all laws in conflict herewith to the extent of the conflict only.
SB 233 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, relating to perpetual care cemetery laws.
SB 306 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) for the Battleship Texas Commission and providing for its creation; providing a saving clause.
SB 326 Caption: Relating to authorizing banks and trust companies to remain open on holidays, and to designate certain additional holidays upon which such banks and trust companies may remain closed.
SB 327 Caption: Relating to providing that any person of legal age may insure his own life in any domestic or foreign life insurance company and designate as beneficiary therein any person, partnership, association, corporation or entity.
SB 328 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, providing that attestation by subscribing witnesses may be dispensed with where the will is wholly written in the handwriting of the testator, with exceptions otherwise provided by law.
SB 329 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, so as to provide a limitation and period of one year in which a petition cannot be refilled before the Commissioners Court or by the State Board of Water Engineers after the same has been defeated by a vote of the qualified resident property taxpaying voters.
SB 333 Caption: Relating to authorizing common carriers within this State to grant and issue annual passes to certain employees of the Sheriff's Association of Texas when on official business.
SB 345 Caption: Relating to making an appropriation for the purpose of paying the expenses of peace officers incurred in returning fugitives to the State of Texas.
SB 346 Caption: Relating to amending a previous Act, by providing for increases in the salaries of deputies, clerks and assistants of county officials in certain counties; repealing all laws in conflict.
SB 349 Caption: Relating to providing that certain cities which have annexed territory within water control and improvement districts or fresh water supply districts shall, under named circumstances, take over the assets and liabilities and perform the functions of such districts; reciting a saving clause.
SJR 11 Caption: Proposing an amendment providing that all sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, etc shall be compensated on a salary basis.
