Charges: This report should address the charges below.
1. A study of the Texas Indian Commission, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and related state programs designed primarily for Texas Indians. This study should include recommendations if any as to the viability of existing and proposed programs and services as well as to the possibility of consolidation of ongoing programs and agency support.
2. Oversight responsibility of agency expenditures and related transactions. This function shall encompass a review and monitoring of all appropriations-related actions of those agencies assigned to this committee for appropriative purposes during the 65th Regular Session of the Legislature, to wit: Amusement Machine Commission Building Commission Board of Control Office of the Governor (less Criminal Justice Planning, Committee on Aging, and Office of Migrant Affairs) Public Utilities Commission Adjutant General National Guard Armory Board Board of Barber Examiners Texas Cosmetology Commission Commission of Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education Library and Historical Commission Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz Memorial Naval Museum Commission Firemans Pension Commissioner Veterans Affairs Commission Private Investigator's and Private Security Agencies
