Appointed by Lieutenant Governor on 6/1/1933 pursuant to SR 120 by Martin. Committee included chair of the Senate Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence and the chair of the Senate Committee of Civil Jurisprudence per resolution. Sen. Small resigned as chair of Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence 6/1/1933 and Sen. Woodruff named chair. Officers of committee named in preliminary report. Preliminary report not signed by Sen. Purl and Woodruff. Sen. Purl did not sign final report. Copy of report housed in Library's collection states it is an Appendix to Journal and pagination does not match report found at S.J. of Tex., 44th Leg., R.S. 429 (1935). Committee fulfilled charge by studying the scholastic census, also known as school enrollment data, used to distribute the state's available school fund monies. Additional charge assigned Committee by SR 32, 43rd Leg., 2nd C.S.

SR 32, 43rd Leg., 2nd C.S. by Redditt added additional charge to committee. Two preliminary reports issued on this charge. Second preliminary report included all charges. Second preliminary report lists officers of committee. Sen. Purl and Woodward did not sign either first or second preliminary report. Copy of first preliminary report housed in Library's collection does not match pagination found at S.J. of Tex., 43rd Leg., 3rd C.S. 90 (1934).
